3 months agoAotea Centre is a fantastic venue in the heart of Auckland! 🎭 The architecture is modern and well-designed, making it a great place for concerts, theatre performances, and events. The seating is comfortable, with excellent views from most angles, and the acoustics are top-notch. The staff are friendly and efficient, ensuring a smooth experience from entry to exit. The location is super convenient, with plenty of nearby restaurants and bars for a pre-show meal or post-event drink. Parking can be a bit tricky during busy events, so arriving early or using public transport is a good idea. Overall, a must-visit venue for arts and culture lovers! 👏✨

2 weeks agoThis place is obviously owned and run by the Auckland Council and it shows. We turned up early to hear the pre Opera presentation and thought a pre show drink would be nice, no chance, "we open in 10 mins". All the staff were there fluffing the drinks in the cabinet, but clearly, the boss had no interest in serving two simple glases of wine. This is quite apart from the accumulated dirt clearly visible on the lift carpet... If any Council Operation needs a shake up it is this !!!

a year agoThis is a modern theatre, well furnished to a very high standard, with good facilities and friendly staff. A number of plays are staged here every week. There is a parking lot downstairs, which is very convenient, but the parking fee is slightly expensive.
